Connecting a new store or marketplace, and keeping the connection healthy

How to add a sales channel, how orders come in, what each connection status means, and how we decide a connection is offline and needs attention.

Adding a channel, connecting a channel, linking a store and setting up a new sales channel all mean the same thing here. Whichever you call it, it is the same screen and the same steps below.

How do I add a new sales channel? (connect a new store or marketplace)

Adding a channel is how you connect a new store or marketplace to Sugibana Flow. You do it once per channel, and after that orders come in and stock goes out automatically.

  1. Go to Admin → Sales Channels and pick the tab for the channel you want to connect (Amazon, eBay, PrestaShop, Allegro, Walmart, TikTok, …).
  2. Enter that channel's credentials. What's needed depends on the channel: - Amazon — Seller ID, LWA Client ID, Client Secret, Refresh Token. - PrestaShop — your store URL and a Webservice Key. - Other channels (eBay, Allegro, Walmart, TikTok) sign you in through their own login screen instead of asking for keys directly.
  3. Click Test connection (PrestaShop calls this Validate connection) to confirm the credentials actually work. The card shows Ready / Connected once everything checks out.
  4. Turn on Order sync so new orders start being pulled in on each sync interval.
  5. Turn on Stock push so your Available quantity is sent to the channel every time it changes.

Order sync and Stock push are independent — you can import orders without pushing stock, or the reverse. Some channels (e.g. Amazon) let you turn these on per marketplace region; PrestaShop's stock push can show "Activation pending" for a short time after you first turn it on.

How do orders come in from my sales channels?

You don't have to import them. Once a channel is connected, Sugibana Flow checks it regularly on its own and new orders show up on the Orders page by themselves — you don't press anything, and there's no manual "import orders" step to remember.

A few things worth knowing about how orders arrive:

An order is missing — where do I look first? Check this channel's connection status below. A channel that is offline or needs attention has stopped being checked, and that is the most common reason orders stop appearing. Fix the connection and order collection resumes. If an order from the period when the channel was down still hasn't appeared after that, open a case so support can chase it rather than re-entering it by hand.

What do the connection statuses mean?

Some channels also run their own extra validation once connected — for example, eBay only shows as fully Active once your seller account has at least one shipping/fulfillment policy and one merchant location set up on eBay's own side; without those it stays in an Error state even though the connection itself is fine. That's expected, not a sign the connection is broken.

How does the platform decide a channel connection is offline / needs attention?

Every connected channel (and, for multi-region channels like Amazon, every connected marketplace/region within it) is checked against whether it's currently in a healthy, working state. If a region you've configured is not healthy, it shows up on the Dashboard → Channel Status card as an alert, listing:

Regions you haven't configured at all are shown separately as not configured — they never count as an "issue." When every configured region for a channel is healthy, the card shows a single green tile for that channel with the time of its last sync; when there's a problem, that channel's card turns into a red alert box until it's fixed.

What should I do when a channel shows "needs attention"?

Go to Sales Channels, open the flagged channel's tab, and re-establish the connection — typically:

Once reconnected, click Test connection / Validate connection again to confirm it now reports healthy, and the Dashboard alert clears on the next check.

FAQ

How do I add a channel? Go to Admin → Sales Channels, pick the tab for the channel you want, enter its credentials (or sign in through that channel's own login screen), and click Test connection. Then turn on Order sync and Stock push. Adding a channel, connecting a channel and linking a store are the same thing — the full steps are above.

How do I add a new store or marketplace? The same way as any other channel: Admin → Sales Channels, pick the tab for that store or marketplace, and connect it. Amazon, eBay, PrestaShop, Allegro, Walmart and TikTok each have their own tab.

My Dashboard shows a red "Channel Status" alert — what does it mean? One or more of your connected channels (or one region within a multi-region channel like Amazon) isn't syncing successfully right now. Click through to Sales Channels to see which one and reconnect it.

Why does the Dashboard only show some channels, not all of them? Only channels you've actually connected are shown as either healthy or needing attention. Channels you've never set up don't appear as a problem — they're just not configured yet.

I reconnected a channel — why does the dashboard still show it as unhealthy? Health is refreshed on each sync check, not instantly on reconnect. Give it a few minutes and use Test connection / Validate connection on the channel's own tab to confirm it now passes before expecting the Dashboard card to clear.

Does Order sync or Stock push being off count as "needs attention"? No — turning a toggle off intentionally isn't a failure. "Needs attention" specifically means the connection itself is failing (bad/expired credentials, a sign-in that expired, etc.), not that a feature is simply switched off.
